Hi!

Welcome to the All Weapons 1v1 1.16 tournament.

The current people who want to play are the following:

Rules and the maplist will be discussed later but they will be fairly standard.
I hope more people will join, so invite your friends. It would be nice if we had around 16 participants.
I will set up a server for the tournament later this week.
For the players not familiar with 1.16 you can practice on the servers on http://q3pwnz.org The All Weapons 1v1 server has the same configuration as the tournament server, except there won't be a fraglimit, only timelimit. Get the mappack @ http://q3pwnz.org/1v1maps.zip (this is not the tournament mappack)
And of course you can try All Weapons FFA too to get the feeling of 1.16 NoGhost.

ps. People who haven't signed up to the forum yet, please do. You are going to have to arrange your matches here, post screenshots and possibly demos.

Because of the skill difference between players and because this tournament is just for fun. We decided to also add playoffs for the people who didn't win during the group stage. The following image should clarify it.

Everything you wrote is probably sufficient for all who wants to play with us and enjoy this fun.

The bracket could look like something like this, with single elimination. The better players should start fighting eachother first, to make the tournament a bit more fair.



The two losers of the semi-finals could have a 2nd place match, I think it'd be more interesting.

Para has a good idea:

Lets say there will be 16 players. And we make 4 groups with 4 players each. The top 2 players of each group will go to the quarter finals of the winners. And the bottom 2 players will go to another play offs with the other 2 bottom players from each group.

A sorry, when we start the tournament, we will need two referees - if you had the time can you help?

As someone sees DRUMMER tell him about the tournament. We need only 3 players.
